wish list[edit]

usefull links about each language[edit]

I would like to add at each "category:User xx" usefull links about that language.

Example: at category:User hr I would like to add:

Hrvatski : Croatian language translations / cvs L M mail *
unicode.org : "Croatian" "Latin Extended-A" U0100.pdf "Combining Diacritical Marks" U0300.pdf Unicode fonts browser setup
hr.wiktionary.org : version all messages Monobook.css Monobook.js wikivar

The links are important to investigate the status of the Croatian MediaWiki interface and configuration, required fonts etc. Regards Gangleri | T 20:58, 13 March 2006 (CET)

Looking at commons:w:en:Afar language one can see ISO 639-1: aa ISO 639-2: aar ISO/DIS 639-3: aar. Beside these one could add categories for the script(s), directionality(ies), used numbers and number separators, xml(?) code. Optional parameters as LanguageConverter, variants etc. should be added wherever apropriate. Regards Gangleri | T 02:47, 14 March 2006 (CET)

includeonly, /includeonly, noinclude and /noinclude[edit]

The templates should use

<includeonly></includeonly>

and

<noinclude></noinclude>

Unfortunatelly (because of nested templates) this is more easy to write here then to implement it. See Insect room#sort order in category:User en. Regards Gangleri | T 00:10, 14 March 2006 (CET)

BiDi compatibility[edit]

Please add &ltr; at the end of LTR sentences and &rtl; at the end of RTL sentences. Then the templates can be used in any context.
Actual example with: template:User en T and modified template:User de T; please take a look at the position of the final dot (".").

Fixed (workaround) by adding dir="ltr" to template:User lang|diff=392032&oldid=391931 (and other special:Prefixindex/template:User lang templates). – Gangleri | T 00:49, 14 March 2006 (CET)

to do[edit]

As one cen see today (01:11, 14 March 2006 (CET)) at User:Gangleri/RTL all language templates should be using the special:Prefixindex/template:User lang templates. Gangleri | T 01:11, 14 March 2006 (CET)

The hight of the Babel boxes in the following example is different. user:Gangleri | Gangleri 19:14, 14 March 2006 (CET)

LTR[edit]

<div dir="ltr" >
User en
User deu
<br clear="all" />
----
User eng
<br clear="all" />
----
User deu
<br clear="all" />
</div>

generates:

Template:User eng Template:User deu

Template:User eng

Template:User deu

RTL[edit]

<div dir="rtl" >
User eng
User deu
<br clear="all" />
----
User eng
<br clear="all" />
----
User deu
<br clear="all" />
</div>

generates:

Template:User eng Template:User deu

Template:User eng

Template:User deu
