I think that in the languages I know, a same word is used to refer to the direction one has been before, even if it's not here. The provided example ("He is back!") doesn't even need to be changed to mean "He's back in his country!", i.e. there, not here. Moreover, there is a difference between the direction, as in "He's going back to Angola." and the meaning of "again there", as in "He is back in Angola.", so the given example doesn't fit well the definition. These 2 meanings are often translated differently. I suggest to split this definedMeaning into: "towards a place previously left" ("He's going back to Angola.") and "arrived in a place previously left" ("He is back!"/"Il est de retour !"). --Fiable.biz 04:30, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

"The direction to here, when the subject has been here before." is a definition of a noun, while the words are adverbs. --Fiable.biz 04:39, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
