DefinedMeaning talk:chiropteran (571)
Please keep apart Chiroptera or bats or chiropterans or chiropters (an order) and chiropteran or chiropter (a specimen or a species (or some other taxon)) from this order. Andres 02:03, 30 October 2006 (CET)
Currently the definition is given for Chiroptera but half of the translations mean 'chiropteran'. Andres 02:06, 30 October 2006 (CET)
- Again, this is one of the thousands of entries that have been imported from the GEMET dictionary. If you have a problem with a definition, by all means - fix it. All I was doing was fixing incorrect capitalization for Bulgarian words... I was not concerning myself with definitions or other entires that have punctuation in them. -Rappo 02:33, 30 October 2006 (CET)
- OK, this is not addressed to you personally. This is just to whoever may read it. Perhaps we should not import massive databases because this impairs the overall quality of our dictionary. If we have to check every entry then maybe this is not substantially less work.
- And it is easy to identify mistakes, harder to correct them. Should I avoid mentioning the mistakes when I am not ready to fix them now? Andres 02:45, 30 October 2006 (CET)
