This article (elevator (156773)) needs attention because:

The DM "A mechanical device consisting of a platform that may move vertically up and down, and that is used to convey people and cargo between floors of a building." is imho incorrect. It would be illegal, and much too dangerous, were a platform being moved up and down. It is a closed cage or room or box. --Purodha Blissenbach 22:37, 14 September 2006 (CEST)
