DefinedMeaning talk:rear-view mirror (978915)
Note: contrary to what Wikipedia says, a rear-view mirror is not only an Expression:inside rear-view mirror (Innenspiegel / rétroviseur intérieur), but can be also a Expression:side-view mirror (Aussenspiegel / rétroviseur extérieur). Unless I am wrong, which is also a possibility.
So, I have removed in the definition the part where it says that this type of mirror looks through the rear window (and moved it to "inside rear-view mirror"). --Kipcool 14:07, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, there is an ontological concept which embraces both kind of mirrors, though I am not sure about the German words (and much less about the others) since I only know "Rückspiegel" as meaning the "inside rear-view mirror" (which is why I added it there) and never used/heard "Innenspiegel" for that mirror. But this is only about the words, not the concept... --dh 23:55, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
