That's exactly the reason: the German and French Wikipedia articles clearly deal with nuclear spallation and the German word "Spallation" is never used for other bodies than atomic nuclei. I do not know how the expressions in the other languages are used. Interwikilinks sometimes link articles that have broader or narrower scope. That is ok for Wikipedia but it means also that the interwikilinks alone are not a reliable source for (exact) translations (unless you find hints in the articles itself). --Ortografix 16:16, 23 January 2008 (EST)
