Possibly the DMs of English 'a' (eng:'a':"To; each; per.") and german 'a' (deu:'a':"+ Evenly distributed to; identical instances of; mapped to any of.") are identical. It's not very clear to me, though. -- Purodha Blissenbach 02:23, 24 August 2006 (CEST)
Samples of the 2nd use in German would be inventaries, invoices, and other lists, like:
- Eier: 14 Stück à 9 € … 126 €
- Granaten: 6 Stück ohne Stift à 9 € … 54 €
- etc. …
