Expression talk:dagfjäril

(about french, but possibly a more general question)

butterfly is defined as « Any diurnal insect [...] » which overlaps with this definition. So I'm not putting any french translation. It would be simply papillon (as opposed to mite/moth, but which is already covered in butterfly), or "papillon de jour" which is IMO an artificial construct, so not suitable for an expression. Perhaps Rhopalocera but AFAIK there is no real accepted taxonomic classification between diurnal vs nocturnal.

Or should it be papillon in both DMs, and playing with identical meaning flags? Ce`dric 09:37, 18 September 2006 (CEST)
