IMHO all botanical stuff should be removed from DM2[edit]

This article (fruit) needs attention because:
DM2 should be changed. The food sense of the word has nothing to do with the ovary of the plant; rather, it is something like "soft more or less sweet things that you pick, usually from trees, that are too large to be called berries". Some food fruits are not plant ovaries. The one I come to think of is the strawberry, which is a false fruit; but we call it a berry not a fruit only because of its size. IMHO all botanical stuff should be removed from DM2.
It has been added to this category for attention. Thank you for your patience.

I agree. I suggest to use the Wiktionary definition:

"Any sweet, edible part of a plant that resembles seed-bearing fruit, even if it does not develop from a floral ovary; also used in a technically imprecise sense for some sweet or sweetish vegetables, such as rhubarb, that resemble a true fruit or are used in cookery as if they were a fruit."
