The current def "A generic kitchen utensil used for cooking food by boiling, frying or other methods" not specific enough, it does not distinguish from an oven or a spatula for example. Also note that there are many kitchen utensils that are called "pan" in English . I suggest
- "a broad, shallow container of metal, usually having sides flaring outward toward the top, used for frying, baking, washing, etc."
