Expression talk:water table
This article (water table) needs attention because:
It has been added to this category for attention. Thank you for your patience.
Looking at en:wp it seems as "water table" should refer to the surface of ground water, not the whole body of ground water as the present English DM claims. So I guess the english Expression should be changed somehow.... \Mike 14:29, 8 May 2006 (CEST)
- I agree Mike, in addition the Dutch term 'freatisch water' is perhaps geo-jargon or so, but this Dutchman had never seen it before and only knows the term 'grondwater' for groundwater (and perhaps poriewater for the water bound to the pores). The term 'water table' is mostly translated by grondwaterspiegel or grondwaterpeil. In English the word 'level' comes to mind.

- Jcwf, the definition is to be translated EXACTLY. That is crucial to how WZ works. When it is a word you do not know, then it is EITHER a word you do not know and you can look it up or it wrong .. however see below .. :)
- Jcwf and Mike, I agree that it may be problematic. Given that it is sourced material, you can ask the source about this. We are in contact with the people of Gemet and this is certainly going to be discussed. GerardM 17:34, 10 May 2006 (CEST)
