The Chinese currency is 人民币 (RMB) in Mainland China. A yuan is the major unit (equivalent of dollar/crown) of currency, and is IIRC used also for the same category in Taiwan (where the currency is not 'the people's money'. 1 yuan (in spoken Chinese often kalled kuai, is divided into mao (dimes/10 cents) and fen (cent).--Sannab 20:15, 20 September 2006 (CEST)
