UTF-8 is an international standard encoding for the representation characters in electronic communication. It can transport unicode characters of all code pages in a single transmission, requiring comparatively little bandwidth. It is suited for documents using mixed languages and mixed scripts, including altering directionalliy. Moreover, the ongoing process of development is targeted towards representing every character of every script of mankind in unicode.
