Hi! this thing looks simply wonderful... a small step for a database, but a giant improvement in knowledge availability :) Thanks to all those who made this possible! Usually you can find me here.
Almost all my 1 levels are actually at full level 2 in reading, while mostly at 0 level in writing. For many of these 1 level languages I haven't got the slightest idea of how they sound, I simly learned how to read them by surfing the net. I define as "1 level" a language from which I can translate a text to my native pms with only an occasional use of a dictionary.
- 25 July 2006. Today I discovered that I can also read Normand. So my babel grows to 25. It's incredible. I mean... sometimes I have the impression that there is but ONE language: european. It does come in a lot of flavours (most of which are getting pretty rare), and it's something completely different from the usual preformatted stuff of the BIG langs... There really is a thing called the continuum of speech, after all.
- WOW! We have a LOGO!!! neat job chaps :)
Pls NOTE![edit]
During the next few months I will probably not be able to be here frequently. My workload keeps growing, the number of hours in my days doesn't. If you have problems that need my presence fell free to look for me at my page on the i-iter project, where I'll be for many a month.
