OK, good start... not...
If you wonder what I was doing in my first contributions, you maybe want to read the explanation:
-New at Omegawiki, I followed the link "random expression"
-Saw a page where it said
Danish: matelot: sailor of the lowest rank
Swedish: matelot: sailor of the lowest rank.
-To me, matelot is french, not swedish, although I know virtually nothing of sea terms. But could not find any evidence for "matelot" in any swedish dictionary, as contrary to "matros"
-First after editing the discussion for the page in question, proposing addition of french "matelot" and removal of swedish idem dito, I saw its title "matros"! So what I'd been seeing was the english translation of "matros" from swedish and danish ;)
So, lesson number 1: OmegaWiki looks quite different from wiktionary!
